Some people change how you think.

Those lessons stay with you.

Where I met you

Engineering

A classroom where I could ask questions

IIIT Senapati, Manipur

Studies were only one part of those four years. What I remember most now is the lovely weather, the hill beside the college, time with faculty and friends, dinners with other students, the daily mess rush, and even the water problems. These everyday moments made Manipur special.

What stayed

Clarity

You taught me not to stop at an answer just because it looked right. I had to understand why it was right.

I still follow that lesson when I design systems, review someone else's work, or explain a difficult idea to my team.

Then

I was an ECE student trying to understand things properly.

Now

Today, I build large data systems, and I still try to understand things with the same clarity.

Personal note

A note for you

Dear Dr. Subasit Borah,

Thank you for pushing me to understand things properly while still making it comfortable to ask questions.

At that time, I may not have realised how useful this would be. I see it now in the way I work and in the way I help other engineers.

Thank you, and Happy Teacher's Day.
